Do you or someone you know suffer from allergies or asthma? If
so,
then take advantage of this opportunity to meet and make friends
with
Dr. Laura Ispas.
Dr. Ispas was born in Romania and is from German and
Hungarian
heritage. She attended and completed Medical School in Timisoara,
Romania and then immigrated to the "New World" in search of freedom
and to live the "American Dream". She completed her medical
training
with a 3 years residency in Internal Medicine and after that served
two years of fellowship in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology at the
Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, in N.C.
Following graduation she accepted a position with The Allergy Asthma
Clinic here in Phoenix.
Dr. Ispas's interests, besides treating patients with a variety of
allergic
diseases, include teaching and clinical research as well as medical
writing. She gives many "Presentations" to teach Residents
and Primary
Care Physicians about new ways to treat these diseases.
At the Allergy Asthma Clinic (one of the oldest and most highly
respected
allergy practices in Arizona) Dr. Ispas and two other allergists
daily
treat large numbers of patients for Allergic Rhinitis (in lay terms, "Hay
Fever"),
as well as patients with Asthma and other allergic diseases. One of
the
reasons she chose to come to Phoenix is because a large number of
people
in Arizona are allergy sufferers. Dr. Ispas says, "Many of them
do not
seek medical advice, and we can really make a difference in their
quality
of life with the help of new and powerful medications".
Don't let the little things get you down!
Dr. Ispas hopes to make a difference. Every year in the United
States
approx. 6,000 asthma sufferers
die because of this disease. Maricopa
County is second in the nation for the number of deaths due
to Asthma!!!!
She would like to help reduce this statistic in
the coming years.
