Mark your calendar to join us from 6pm - 9pm, January 30 at
Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain. My Special Guest this week
is traveling minstrel Trey Haltom a.k.a. Colonel Pepper and his
brother Rodney Haltom of Falling Figs Music!
Trey & Rodney may be reached at:
Trey Haltom a.k.a. Colonel Pepper is a Mystic Minstrel. This old hippie
from the 60's who wandered around the United States (from coast to
coast), with only the clothes on his back, a guitar, and faith in God, is
now
ready to go global with the release of "Colonel Pepper's Last Stand".
His brother, Rodney, traveled Europe during the same time period,
performing with his band of young gypsies.
Falling Figs Music, is the publishing company owned and operated by
the brothers. They are currently in the process of mastering and
producing
a collection of new CDs. Their first effort "Starry Eyed by R. Paige"
is still available in the limited collector's edition. All of their new
music
will soon be made available on their web site www.fallingfigs.com
(temporarily located at http://fallingfigs.topcities.com). Their web site
is
currently under construction, and will feature mp3 and real audio
streaming media samples available on line.
Trey's songs are often compared to the works of John Prine or Bob Dylan.
They usually have a political undertone or a spiritual message that is
unmistakable.
Rod's tunes are upbeat and lyrical; they reveal his romantic outlook on
life. Rod's newest CD, "Once Were Lovers" is close to being ready,
and is the current project at Falling Figs Music.
Most of the brothers songs are recorded at Falling Figs Music's home
recording studio on digital audio tape, and then mastered at another
facility
by professional audio engineers. The mastered copy is then ready for
reproduction by Disk Masters.
It is with great pleasure that Trey Haltom a.k.a. Colonel Pepper, and his
brother Rodney Haltom will be my Special Guest this week.
Please plan on joining us to socialize and meet new friends!
