Continuing the theme of welcoming the new year with positive and uplifting Soiree's, Mike England, hot air balloon pilot, embodies the very essence. Exhilerating, romantic, quiet, beautiful, relaxing, and fun are all words describing the very spirit of hot air ballooning.

Mike began flying balloons in Illinois, where he grew up and lived until seven years ago. Balloons were his hobby, flying for fun and competing in festivals in the midwest.

A Farm Business Analyst for the Universtiy of Illinois, and his alma mater, Mike came to Arizona in 1994 to pursue his passion for flying and began piloting large balloons for a living while still having fun. Mike truly loves sharing his passion for ballooning with others and continues to return to the midwest to participate in balloon competitions each summer.
