7000 E Shea Blvd, #1010 Meet My Web MistressThe Soiree Special Guest this week is Tina
Ponce, Full-Time Professor of CIS* at DeVry
University and President and Owner of Her
Own Web Development Business, S&R Publishing.
(Sorry folks but Tina's picture is too hot to publish. You'll just have to join us at the Soiree to see her.) To contact Professor Tina Ponce:
It is my pleasure to introduce Professor Tina Ponce who I
affectionately refer to as my web mistress. We all know that
mistresses have all the fun and so it is with Tina who says that,
"As Baron's webmistress, I can testify to the fun and opportunities
that come from each and every Soiree." Tina is taking this
weeks opportunity as my Soiree Special Guest to announce
two new exciting services she is offering!
Every year approximately 45 organizations in the Phoenix area benefit by receiving custom-made software such as customer support database and front-end applications, ecommerce websites, inventory control systems, and many more. All CIS seniors must complete a Senior Project for a real-world client before they can graduate. At the beginning of each term, and they're starting a new term next week, clients submit an application for their project needs and students can pick from the pool of projects. Within a week of the start of each term, the students will have contacted the client and arranged a "Statement of Work". Once that process begins they are off and rolling and within 13 weeks you have a completed, new application! And it's provided to you as a service to the community. If you have other than application-level needs, such as network and telecom setup, circuit board repair and maintenance, etc, Prof. Ponce can refer to other contacts at the DeVry Campus who can involve you in their senior project programs.
The SECOND opportunity is a new service that Tina provides
through S&R Publishing. She is now offering computer
forensics in addition to web hosting, site design, and e-book
publishing. Computer Forensics is the investigation,
discovery/recovery and collection of information from
digital sources for the presentation or use in a court of
law or internal business processes.
How has she come by this knowledge? Well, to keep it brief,
Prof. Ponce has a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice from
the University of South Carolina, three years experience
as a probation officer for the State of Florida, almost ten
years of business and web development work, five years
of teaching experience at DeVry University, and Certification
in Computer Forensics through Oregon State University.
It is with great pleasure that Tina Ponce, President and Owner of S&R Publishing and Professor of CIS at DeVry University will be my Special Guest this week. Please plan on joining us to socialize
and meet new friends. |
