Sonora is a female western cougar, also known as a puma or mountain lion. She was born in the wild in the Pascal mountain range in Arizona in March of 1994. She is identical to her sister, Adobe, except her nose is spotted. Baby cougars are born with spots on their fur, rings around their tails, and bright blue eyes. As they mature their cub markings slowly fade way. Named for the sonoran desert, she is affectionate and peaceful.
