Elijah, born June 16, 1994 at the Nashville Zoo, is a Royal White Bengal Tiger. He and his sister Samara joined the park at nine months of age. Two days later they performed Tiger Splash. Elijah no longer does Tiger Splash because he decided it was more fun to go after people than toys. Since tigers live in more dense habitats their whiskers are the same width as their shoulders, allowing them to stalk prey through the trees without being detected.
