I met Casting Director Faith Hibbs-Clark about a year ago through a successful young starlet being mentored by Faith. She was taking acting and industry education classes from Faith, so just for fun I signed up and joined my friend for an all day acting class. The class culminated in the memorizing of several scripts and then acting them out for the camera. At the end of the day Faith provided us each with a video tape of our performance. Fortunately my tape was accidentally destroyed after I ran over it with my car and lit it on fire. For a while I was a star!

I can tell you from personal experience that Faith is all business. She works you all day like a Marine Drill Sergeant. I attended her class to have fun but the schedule was tight and grueling. I learned how much there is to learn. I learned acting is a career, not an adventure!

Unfortunately, Faith no longer has time to teach , but actors can still submit their photos and contact info to Faith and those with no experience or even training can sign up to be an extra at no charge. She knows the business and has the right contacts to help you land advertising work, and movie work. She also has an excellent web site which also impresses me.

Faith has been a long time crusader in the entertainment industry. She's been behind the camera, held executive positions, and much more. Her casting office is in Northeast Scottsdale. As a Casting Director she travels the country doing what she does best...casting!

Ms. Hibbs-Clark has become one of the top Casting Directors in the nation. She casts all types of actors, in all types of projects, from feature films, to local and national commercials. She enjoys a reputation for being THE Casting Director who can cast the hardest to find actors.

*Rick Schroeder is the child star of Silver Spoons, went on to do lots of movies such as The Champ, and then most remember him for his role in NYPD Blue. He is a three-time Golden Globe winner too!! He lives here in Scottsdale and made and directed a film here called Black Cloud which was also shot here. It is a film about a young Navajo teen (played by Eddie Spears) who struggles to overcome adversity. It is a sweet love story -- no sex -- no nudity, and an inspiring story of how he qualifies for the Olympic boxing team. It is based loosely on a true story.

Hollywoods Walk of Fame

It's been said that if you focus on your goal you will achieve it. Below is a sign and it's history. Those of you interested in an acting career may want to focus on it as your goal!
The Hollywood Sign


The Hollywood Sign is on top of Mount Lee, in Hollywood Hills. The Sign measures 450 feet long. The letters are 45 feet high and can be seen from all parts of Hollywood. It was erected in 1923 as an advertising sign for a real estate development in Beachwood Canyon.

The Sign originally read “Hollywoodland”. The last four letters were removed in 1945, after Hollywood had become the world's movie capital, and the Sign had already become a well-known landmark. The original sign contained thousands of light bulbs, which were changed daily by a caretaker who lived in a small house behind one of the Sign's giant “L”s. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to reach the Sign itself. It is far from any roads. And even if you did manage to reach the area, you would discover that the Sign has been fenced in to keep out the curious and that an alarm system has been installed.
