To kick off the Fall season of the Soiree in a BIG PATRIOTIC way I have asked Lt. Colonel Dawn Lake to join us in representing all of our Armed Forces past and present. All current serving military personnel and veterans are invited to join us as we honor their their service and sacrifices for our country.
Colonel Lake has been part of the Soiree for many years. She is an Executive Coach and professional speaker in civilian life as well as a Lt. Colonel and paratrooper in the US Army Reserves. She was called away from us to duty in Afghanistan nearly two years ago. Her living conditions were very harsh and she endured 24 hour a day noise from transport and cargo planes, jets, helicopters, explosions, and gun fire. She has many incredible stories to relate and has been interviewed on numerous local television news shows. She is eagerly sought after to speak by many of our civic organizations and is writing a book of her experiences. Colonel Lake has been on the front lines in our war in Afghanistan. She helped hunt Al Qaida terrorists and Taliban forces half a world a way to protect those of us living at home. We owe Colonel Lake and all of our armed forces our gratitude and respect.
Our world today would be very much different if it were not for our military and the folks like Colonel Lake who serve. The following says it best!

Join us as we welcome home Colonel Dawn Lake. Hear her experiences. Ask her what her views are of our war on terrorism. She's been there and done that! The news media paints a negative picture. Colonel Lake has the opposite view. Ask her yourself why we are doing what we are doing.
