The “core competency” of GreenFlash is their application of natural microorganisms called ‘microbes’ (or ‘microbials’) which solve a large variety of environmental and agricultural problems.  Once thought impossible, GFTs systems remedy a variety of pollutants and contaminants in a short period of time and more effectively than anything on today’s market. They have a one-of-a-kind solution that treats salt-laden soil which then encourages the growth of crops, turf or ornamentals in situations where nothing has ever grown before. Organic odors can be eliminated by GFT products; air emissions and groundwater leaching from animal waste lagoons filled with polluted waste can become nutrient-rich manure and NOT add to our carbon footprint when treated by GFT.  

GFTs approach attacks these problems in the same way that nature does but at speeds and performance levels of a higher magnitude of effectiveness.  If a barrel of oil is spilled on the ground, the bacteria and other microorganisms in the soil will attack it and biodegrade it, but will take many years.  If, however, the same barrel of oil is targeted by the microbes in the GFT PHC Remediation Products, the bioremediation will be complete in, at most, a few weeks.

GreenFlash Technologies proprietary culturing technology takes common microbials (bacteria and others), and turns them into “super-bugs” targeted to clean up specific contaminants.  Competitive advantages of GFTs microbial technology are four-fold:

1.     Natural microbes are subjected to an adaptive selection process which quickly eliminates those microbes unlikely to have the strength and speed of action required by GreenFlash products.

2.     The remaining microbes are enhanced by introduction to various nutrients (media) “recipes” and exposure to variations in heat, cold,  ambient temperature gradients, moisture, etc.

3.       Numerous microbial properties may be needed for a product to be effective and efficient.  Organisms with different capabilities are blended producing a consortium that works together to greatly enhance activity.

4.      Microbes chosen by GFT multiply rapidly leading to products with exceptionally high concentrations of multiple strains of microorganisms in each product.

Simply put… This means that GreenFlash employs a consortium of high-concentration super-microbes specifically bred and trained for the tasks to which they are assigned.

Here is a sample of just a few of the GreenFlash's family of products to give the reader an idea of the magnitude the markets GreenFlash products address:

Odor & Stain Remediation - GreenFlash has several products that attack odors including:  

*     OdorOut-222™ is a microbial product that eliminates all organic odors and stains. It is safe for use around children, pets or plants.  OdorOut-222™ is especially effective in bathrooms, kitchens, baby’s rooms and more. It works on pets / perspiration / cigarette / smoking odors as well as mustiness/mildew/ and mold odors. It can be used in such a wide variety of settings that it would take forever to list them. In essence… It eradicates the source of the organic odors. OdorOut-222™ was used in New Orleans in 2005 to eliminate the horrific odors resulting from the ravages of Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma. Many of these odors were caused by mold buildup, garbage, water and vermin-infested furniture and clothing, animal bodies, feces and more. The highly-cultured microbials in OdorOut-222™ are so aggressive that they consumed the food source of the molds, thereby eliminating them. 

*     KennelFresh-222™ is the same product as OdorOut-222™ but marketed under a different name for that targeted market segment. During the past four years, there is an increased awareness in the pet market for ‘natural’ products. Consumers are more willing to use natural or microbial products today than they were five years ago. The importation of products from overseas has caused alarm in several domains and consumers are anxious for US-produced ‘natural’ products. Between March and May 2007, a very large international pet supplier submitted 20 odor products, including KennelFresh-222™ to a rigorous set of in-house and outside performance tests for consideration as a basis for a future privately labeled odor product. At the end of the testing, they reported that KennelFresh-222™ had come in first in every performance category.

Today the largest selling "odor" products are either air fresheners (such as Febreeze and Glade) or air disinfectants (such as Oust and Lysol). These products typically mask the odors with various fragrances and alcohol, or employ triethylene glycol or other agents to kill bacteria, which may or may not be the source of the odor. In many cases the odors return shortly after the application. None of these products attack serious odors or stains such as those from pets, cigarette smoke, kitchens, etc. But GFTs KennelFresh-222™ and OdorOut-222™ do!  There are a number of "odor" companies using enzymes or other chemicals to attack pet odors & stains, but these are generally limited in application to odor molecules for which they are specifically designed and often do not work at all on others. None of these are truly natural or safe, and none of them have the effectiveness of GFTs KennelFresh-222™ and OdorOut-222™ in eliminating such odors as skunk spray and concentrated urine buildup.

Only a very few products are truly natural, biologically-based products, and these, like GFTs KennelFresh-222™ and OdorOut-222™ are microbially (bacteria) based. With GFTs products, the microbes penetrate the odor molecules and metabolize the carbon atoms, totally eliminating the odors and stains caused by the source. In this case the odors/stains never return.

Cigarette Smoke and Odor Removal for Hotels/Motels, Autos, etc.:  A very large and virtually untapped direct-sales market is cigarette smoke and other organic odor removal in hotels/motels, motor vehicles, gymnasiums, recreational facilities, etc. There are in excess of 50,000 hotels/motels in the US. The minimum revenue from one hotel/motel using GFT products is $500-$1,000 per year; leading to an addressable market of between $50 and $100 million in the US alone. Market research indicates that this market is anxious to find a product to allow hotels and vehicle dealers to rotate their cigarette smoke and odor-infested rooms and vehicles more quickly. GFTs OdorOut-222™ solution will normally make even the worst rooms/vehicles usable in 10-15 minutes at a cost of less than $1.00 per application.

Salt Detoxification:  A report by the CA Department of Water Resources (Water Facts, January 2001) states that the San Joaquin Valley in Central CA is one of the most vital and productive farming areas in the world. However, a continued salt buildup in the valley water and soils has reduced this productivity and drastically threatens agricultural stability within the state. Since 2001, this problem has increased. The salt buildup continues unabated when the San Joaquin River waters carry 2,800,000 tons of salt into the valley each year, while only 350,000 tons leave. While discussions about irrigation, drainage, and discontinuing farming certain impacted lands ensue to try to somewhat reduce the problem, the real issue is that some large amount of farming will have to take place on salt-impacted land in the future. This means either switching from high-value salt-sensitive crops to lower value salt-tolerant plants or finding a way to grow salt-sensitive plants in a salt-impacted environment.

GreenFlash completed a major demonstration of their technology on a four-acre field in North Dakota that prior to treatment was categorized by an independent soil & plant laboratory: "Reclaiming this soil is not possible due to excessive chemistry conditions. Even the most tolerant plant specimens would be expected to experience various degrees of poor performance and possible decline." After a brief treatment during the spring of 2006 with the GreenFlash SaltDetox-1051™ process, a barley crop was successfully grown and harvested. Further testing of crop tissue showed a salt content of the crop well below that believed possible. Their unique technology does not remove the salt or other impurities, but chemically ‘binds’ it so it is unable to be uptaken into the plant and adversely affect crop growth.

While the exact land mass affected by salt is not known, it is estimated by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO Corporate Document: http://www.fao.org/ag/ ) that "…approximately 25 percent of the world's irrigated land is damaged by salinization. Some claim that up to 50 percent of the world's irrigated land may become affected by salt. Certainly no continent is free from salt-affected soils. Serious salt-related problems occur within the boundaries of at least seventy-five countries. Countries with notable salinity problems include Australia, China, Egypt, India, Iraq, Mexico, Pakistan, the republics of the ex-Soviet Union, Syria, Turkey, and USA".

The next step in this GreenFlash product evolution is to perform demonstrations in the San Joaquin Valley with the partnership of campuses from the University of California and California State University, as well as the EPA. Having the capability to grow crops in soil considered ‘dead’ because of salt infestation opens an entire world market for GreenFlash.

The California coastal areas, including some prime beach city real estate are experiencing increasing saline impacts on their parks, green strips, trees, golf courses, etc. leading to dying and unusable turf, tree and garden areas. GreenFlash has shown great success in rejuvenating dying flora, including bringing back to health large redwood trees, multiple other varieties of trees, and park and sports field turf areas. GreenFlash is currently under contract to detoxify several large tree, park and walkway areas in Huntington Beach, CA.

Three products, for which there are no existing competitive products on the market, are SaltDetox-1051™, TreePrime-1023™ and Pet-P-Detox-1052™. Using advanced complexing techniques, these products provide a permanent biochemical bonding of the salt, urine and other contaminant molecules (including heavy metals), such that they are no longer capable of being taken up into the plant/tree tissue. They thereby allow the plants to grow unhindered. These products simultaneously rejuvenate the biological activity in the soil, leading to soils with more humus; balanced water/air holding capacity and enhanced nutrient capture capability by the plants.

As you can see, GreenFlash has an arsenal of products available to tackle many of our planets worst environmental issues.  We’ve only discussed a few here, but the others we haven’t discussed are not only as important, but are critical issues that affect all of us and because of GreenFlash CAN be overcome!
