"Hot For Words" Marina
Please join us
join us this week for a costume optional Halloween gathering
introducing Marina of Hot For Words found on Youtube and iTunes. Marina
is a Philologist (the study of linguistics and etymology). She just
loves to discuss the origin of words! So why does she refer to her
classes as Hot For Words? Well I guess most of you have already figured
that out!
Etymology: The study of historical linguistic change, esp. as
manifested in individual words.
Linguistics: The science of language, including phonetics, phonology,
morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, and historical linguistics.
